Eidolon of Orbei is a boss that you will encounter in Act 3 of the main story. This boss does not have so many abilities and beating him is quite simple if you know what you are doing.
This guide will help you do just that by covering all the attack patterns that the Eidolon of Orbei has, where he is located, and what rewards you can expect from defeating him.
Where is Eidolon of Orbei located?
During Act 3, you will come across a quest called Suffering Disquiet which will lead you into the Orbei Monastery where the Eidolon of Orbei is located. This is a main quest dungeon that can be found in Dry Steppes. To get there, simply take the Ked Bardu waypoint, and travel south to where the quest marker is asking you to go.
How to defeat Eidolon of Orbei in Diablo 4
To defeat Eidolon of Orbei, you just have to avoid getting hit by the two attacks that he has. It is that simple, right? He has three marks on his health bar and his attacks don’t change as his health gets lower.
Eidolon of Orbei abilities
Luckily, if you already defeated the Tomb Lord, then you can expect the same attack patterns, but if you haven’t, then keep reading.
Ability 1 – Explosive Walls: When the boss summons his walls, they won’t look harmful and will seem like they are only there to block your path. However, they are not, and the boss will attempt to explode them after a short period of time from being spawned.
When you see the walls start lighting up and getting surrounded by a red color, then you should keep your distance as they cause damage in a wide area after exploding.
I recommend keeping an escape ability like the Sorcerer’s Teleport to help create a gap between you and the walls in case you were put in a tight spot because the walls are a bit tough to destroy.
Ability 2 – Tornado: The boss will cast a tornado that constantly moves around the map. It won’t deal any damage, however, the tornado will block your vision if it comes in contact with you as seen in the below image.
This is especially dangerous when the Eidolon of Orbei casts explosive walls near the tornados and you are blinded by them.
Eidolon of Orbei rewards
Defeating the Eidolon of Orbei rewards you with different gear rarities including one rare and one magic item. You will also gain some gold and experience, and be able to progress even further in the main quest line.
