Dry Steppes is one of the regions in Sanctuary with an environment that is dry. When navigating this wasteland make sure to keep an eye out for the Reddamine herb as it is a material unique to this particular zone.

With a total of 15 subregions, this makes Dry Steppes the region with the most zones across all Sanctuary.

Dry Steppes information

  • Dry weather with rocky cliffs that have a wasteland feel
  • Located west of Fractured Peaks, southwest of Scosglen, and north of Kehjistan
  • The main city is Ked Bardu
  • There are 15 subregions in this zone
  • The crafting material Reddamine can be found only in this region

Diablo 4 Dry Steppes Renown

Unlocking new waypoints and finding new Altars of Lilith are some of the things that contribute to a system called Renown. This system unlocks benefits such as Skill Points, and Potion capacity across all your characters. In Dry Steppes, there is a plethora of activities that you can partake in that will earn you Renown points.

You ought to give yourself and your horse a break when traveling through the rough terrains of Dry Steppes. For this reason, it’s best to utilize the 8 waypoints that are located here. Unlocking them allows you to teleport for free and within a few seconds to whichever location you want.

Strongholds in Dry Steppes

Every region in Diablo 4 has three Strongholds, and Dry Steppes is no different. These are small challenges within a region that involves barging into the enemy’s territory and taking it back from them. By doing so, you get the chance to unlock new waypoints, dungeons, and vendors. Conquering Strongholds will also reward you with Renown points and a ton of experience.

  • Ruins of Qara-Yisu – Located on the southeastern side of the region.
  • The Onyx Watchtower – Located in the center of Dry Steppes.
  • Temple of Rot – Located near the eastern exit of the Fields of Hatred in this region.

Side Dungeons in Dry Steppes

Dry Steppes has 21 dungeons, this makes it the region with some of the least dungeons to explore. Nevertheless, completing those dungeons for the first time will reward you with Legendary Aspects and renown points. They are very helpful if you are trying to level up fast, especially while running Nightmare Dungeons.

Side Quests in Dry Steppes

Side Quests are short tasks that require you to defeat a specific number of monsters, collect specific items, or even deliver something to an NPC. In Dry Steppes, you can find 38 Side Quests, and each one is unique and enjoyable in its own way.

Altars of Lilith

Altars of Lilith are statues that can be found all over the Sanctuary, and finding them will provide your characters with permanent stat bonuses. They can provide +2 for any of the core stats, an increase in Murmuring Obols’ capacity, or +1 Paragon Points.

In Dry Steppes, there is a total of 33 Altars of Lilith that are up for grabs.

Areas Discovered

Uncovering the fog of war within this dry, rocky region has proven to be a difficult task amongst so many players. However, if you are up to the task, then you will make this zone visible on the map across all your account once you have done it on any of your characters.

World Boss in Dry Steppes

While venturing the regions in Sanctuary, you can come across World Bosses. These bosses will require you and a dozen other players to join hand in hand for one ultimate goal, and it is to bring down this beast. Slaying those beasts will provide you with a lot of experience, loot, and a Cache that contains a lot of goodies.

In every zone, there is one dedicated area where world bosses spawn. To find the world boss in Dry Steppes, you have to head over to Saraan Caldera which is located in the southeastern part of the region. To get there, take the Hidden Overlook waypoint and head south.
