Kor Dragan Stronghold is overrun by ghouls and vampires, and it is your job to go there, destroy all the Vampiric Incubators, and then confront Nilcar, Forgotten Bishop. This brings all the older inhabitants back to where they belong, and you get a lot of rewards by doing so, so what’s the harm?
In this guide, we will be going over how you can complete Kor Dragan, where to find it, and what kind of rewards you can get out of it.
Diablo 4 Kor Dragan Stronghold location
Kor Dragan is located north of Fractured Peaks just above Sarkova Pass. The fastest way to get there is by taking the Menestad waypoint, and heading northeast.
This is one of the three Strongholds that you can find in Fractured Peaks, and completing it proves to be challenging so make sure to come prepared with some decent gear.
How to complete Kor Dragan Stronghold in Diablo 4
To complete Kor Dragan, you have to destroy all the Vampiric Incubators and Corruptions, defeat Nilcar, Forgotten Bishop, and then Rekindle the Wanderer’s Shrine.
To destroy the Incubators, you have to destroy all three Corruptions that are attached to them first before you can make the Incubator vulnerable.
As soon as you reach Kor Dragan Stronghold, you will be welcomed by a bunch of vampires and ghouls, defeat them then make your way to the central platform. However, before you actually get the chance to go inside you will have to confront Dragos Darkfist.
After defeating him, keep going deeper into Kor Dragan, and you will see a big Vampiric Incubator that can’t be destroyed and is protected by two Elites. Defeat them, then make your way to the yellow circles highlighted on the map while destroying all the Vampiric Corruptions that you come across.
After destroying a Vampiric Incubator one of the Captains will be waiting for you there, so always be prepared.
- Commander Adinet Firemaw
- Captain Adinet Festerspawn
- Captain Roulf Festerpool
After destroying the Incubators on the west, east, and central platforms, head to the chamber where Nilcar is waiting by destroying the Vampiric Aberration that is blocking the path. Don’t forget to use the Potion Well before you proceed to fill your potions, health, and resources back to 100%.
In the remainder of the guide, we will go over how to defeat Nilcar, Forgotten Bishop, and what rewards you can get from Kor Dragan Stronghold.
How To Beat Nilcar, Forgotten Bishop in Kor Dragan Stronghold
To defeat Nilcar, you have to avoid his blood projectile attack while constantly defeating the Elite monsters that he summons. Moreover, he tries to collect all the potions that he drops when he loses a health mark.
The boss has one offensive ability other than his basic attack, but you should be worrying about other threats in the fight. Here is everything you need to know about Nilcar’s mechanics:
Ability 1 – Summon Elites: As I mentioned before, the boss will summon Elites from the three Blood Pods that are spread over the map. After every 20%, he will summon a new Elite. The elites are as follows:
- Sanguine Adherent – Casts Poison pools
- Sanguine Inquisitor – Casts Lightning Strikes
- Sanguine Knight – Casts a Protective Barrier
Watch out for the Poison Pools because they will grow in size significantly after being on the ground for some time. Moreover, when you defeat an Elite, the boss will resummon them again after a short while, so always keep an eye on that.
Ability 2 – Teleport: Just like any of the Vampire enemies that you stumble upon in Sanctuary, Nilcar will also teleport all over the map every once in a while. This can cause some confusion, so always keep an eye on where the boss is on the map.
Ability 3 – Blood Projectiles: After removing some health from Nilcar, he will start shooting blood projectiles in a linear direction. However, he will constantly be pointing at you, and he will shoot those projectiles for well over three seconds.
Try to keep your distance when this happens because they are super fast, and getting hit by a few of them can be lethal.
Ability 4 – Prison: The last thing you want to watch out for is the prisons that spawn on the sides of the map. They will shackle you if you are within the circles. This is dangerous especially when there are blood projectiles coming at you as you can see in the above image.
The best course of action is to immediately destroy the Prison, or use an ability like Teleport which will automatically set you free.
Kor Dragan Stronghold Rewards
Completing Kor Dragan Stronghold is very rewarding as you will be getting 100 renown, a lot of experience, gold, and the loot of different rarities that the boss drops.
The only drawback is that you won’t be getting access to new vendors and waypoints like other Strongholds give. However, you can find an Altar of Lilith south of the Stronghold that will give you +2 Willpower to your whole account upon activation.
