What is an Invoker of Varshan
Throughout the seasonal quest, Cormond will teach you how to bring out the monsters stuck within an Outgrowth which is located deep inside Malignant Tunnels. Defeating these monsters rewards you with Malignant Hearts, however, to bring out those monsters, you will need a Malignant Invoker.
These Invokers will summon Malignant Monsters, however, there is one special Invoker called the Invoker of Varshan which allows you to summon the seasonal boss, Echo of Varshan.
How to use the Invoker of Varshan in Diablo 4
The Invoker of Varshan is a seasonal item used in Season of the Malignant to summon the boss Echo of Varshan hidden within Malignant Tunnels.
Note that the default Invoker of Varshan can only be used in Worlds Tier 1 and 2. In World Tier 3 and 4, there are two other types of Invokers which we will cover further down in the guide, however, they are used and made in the exact same way.
To find a Malignant Tunnel, open your map and look for a Dungeon icon with a green leaf on top of it. There are a bunch of them all over Sanctuary, and they are easy to locate.
All you have to do to summon Varshan is to head over to the Malignant Tunnel, destroy the Outgrowth located deep within the tunnel, and try finding a wooden door that randomly spawns by the end of it.
To find the hidden room of Varshan, look for a wooden door with chains on it, It is usually located somewhere at the end of the tunnel. You have to keep an eye out though because this door is not highlighted anywhere on the map and it might look like a dead end.
Once you unlock the door, you will come across a Monstrous Outgrowth which is a unique one that can only be activated by using the Invoker of Varshan.
How to get an Invoker of Varshan in Diablo 4
There are three types of Varshan Invokers and they are all made through crafting, however, you will need to obtain the recipes to be able to craft them.

After you obtain any of the recipes, head over to Cormond’s Workbench which can be found all over Sanctuary, and use the following material to craft an Invoker of Varshan:
- 1x Brutal Malignant Invoker
- 1x Vicious Malignant Invoker
- 1x Devious Malignant Invoker
- 1x Demon’s Heart
