Getting new Elite Specializations can be exciting to any Guild Wars 2 player, and if you just made your way to Cantha, then you are probably looking to unlock the new Elite spec for your class. The best way to do that is by completing all the Hero Challenges in this region.
So let’s start by covering all the Seitung Province Hero Points since this is the first map players get to as soon as they reach the land of the Jade.
GW2 Seitung Province Hero Points
There are 9 Hero Points in Seitung Province. You will be happy to know that most of the hero challenges in this region are solo-friendly as you won’t be encountering any Champions, but rather just Veterans and Elites.
I recommend getting the Raptor and Springer before you attempt the hero challenges in Seitung Province in order to make your life much easier and complete them much faster.
1. Village Overlook
- Location: Shing Jea Monastery
- Difficulty: Easy
- Waypoint: Monastery Waypoint [&BL8MAAA=]
- Instructions: From the Monastery, head down the stairs from the east, then take the first left. By the end of the path will be a place of power. Use your Springer to get to it.
2. Bloom of Seitung
- Location: Seitung Harbor
- Difficulty: Easy
- Waypoint: Monastery Waypoint [&BL8MAAA=]
- Instructions: Take the same set of stairs you took earlier, but this time stay straight. You will reach a cliff that you have to jump off of and deploy your Glider till you get to the Cherry Blossom located at the center of the lake. You will find an unprotected place of power that you can just interact with to complete the hero challenge.
3. Veteran Jade Bulwark
- Location: Training Grounds
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Monastery Waypoint [&BL8MAAA=]
- Instructions: From the Monastery Waypoint, cross the bridge from the south and then go east. Just behind the training grounds will be a Veteran Jade Bulwark that you have to fight in order to get this hero point.
4. Dog Statue
- Location: Shinota Shore
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Monastery Waypoint [&BL8MAAA=]
- Instructions: Take the eastern stairs from the Monastery and then head north till you get past the snowy mountain. Once you reach a Jump pad and a Jade Tech Defensive Protocol, jump straight down the cliff and deploy your Glider to avoid falling to your death. Be prepared though because you have to defeat an Elite Aetherblade Scrapper before you can attempt to interact with the Dog Statue.
5. Haiju Hatchery
- Location: Shinota Shore
- Difficulty: Easy
- Waypoint: Haiju Docks Waypoint [&BGQNAAA=]
- Instructions: Head west from the waypoint through the ocean for a quick detour. Having a Skimmer will make you get there much faster. Once you are at the Hatchery, swim all the way to the bottom and you will find the place of power right there. If the Haiju Docks Waypoint is contested due to an event, then you can also take the Daigo Ward Waypoint [&BGUNAAA=].
6. Cliffside Memorial Bell
- Location: Zen Daijun
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Daigo Ward Waypoint [&BGUNAAA=]
- Instructions: From the waypoint, take the set of stairs facing you directly and keep heading up till you reach a Jade barrier. Jump over the barrier using your Springer, and take the other set of stairs facing the barrier. Right before you get to the end of the stairs, Glide off from the left side and keep heading towards the Memorial Bell. You might have to fight a Speaker Warrior before taking the hero point.
7. Village Overlook
- Location: Eastern Wilds
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Daigo Ward Waypoint [&BGUNAAA=]
- Instructions: Follow the same steps from hero challenge #6, but this time instead of going toward the Memorial Bell, just keep gliding straight toward the Eastern Wilds. To reach this hero challenge, you have to either make your way around the mountain or use your Springer to get to the top. However, be prepared as the Elite Kappa Mudstomper will be waiting right next to the place of power.
8. Source of the Springs
- Location: Shinota Shore
- Difficulty: Easy
- Waypoint: Daigo Ward Waypoint [&BGUNAAA=]
- Instructions: From the waypoint, turn 360 degrees and head toward the mountain with a waterfall. Simply climb it using your Springer, and you will find the unprotected place of power.
9. Old Bell Shrine
- Location: Haiju Plains
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Haiju Docks Waypoint [&BGQNAAA=]
- Instructions: Simply go straight from the waypoint and cross the second bridge to your left. Interact with the shrine and defeat Elite Kirin to obtain that hero point.
