GW2 Legendary Sigils

Legendary Sigils are upgradable components that can be placed in both land and underwater weapons. They provide the same upgrades as the normal Superior Sigil, but the legendary counterpart gives you the ability to swap into any property at any point in time without paying a single copper.

Getting them is not as hard as other legendaries, but do keep in mind that you will most probably have to get up to eight of them to accommodate for both your land and underwater weapons.

Moreover, they don’t have any visual effects, so don’t expect to look more flashy by getting them.

Legendary Sigil benefits

Since those are legendaries and they cost a good amount of time and gold investment, they will naturally come with some benefits.

  • They don’t require Upgrade Extractors to be removed.
  • You can swap their properties at any time.
  • They can be copied to any other character in your account.

How to get Legendary Sigils in Guild Wars 2

To craft one of those sigils, you have to combine the following items in the Mystic Forge.

  • Gift of Sigils
  • Gift of Craftsmanship
  • Gift of Condensed Magic
  • Gift of Condensed Might

The Legendary Armory can accomodate a maximum of 8 Sigils, which is enough for every land and underwater weapon on any of your characters.

Gift of Sigils

To craft a Gift of Sigils, you have to place the following items in the Mystic Forge.

  • Mystic Mote 75 Mystic Motes
  • Mystic Clover 30 Mystic Clovers
  • Glob of Ectoplasm 150 Globs of Ectoplasm
  • Obsidian Shard  75 Obsidian Shards

Mystic Motes

You can get this item by purchasing it from the Trading Post or by crafting it yourself.

To craft Mystic Motes, you must first obtain the recipe for it and have rank 75 on either artificer Artificer, huntsman Huntsman, or weaponsmith Weaponsmith.

The Mystic Mote recipe can be purchased from different vendors and it costs Pile of Luscent Crystal 25 Pile of Lucent Crystal and Karma 35,000 Karma. I usually go to Frayja the weaponsmith which is located in Trader’s Forum in Lion’s Arch.

After you get the recipe, head over to the crafting station and craft a Mystic Mote using the following material:

  • 10 Piles of Lucent Crystal
    • Crafted in any station using 10 Lucent Motes that can be obtained from salvaging sigils.
  • Symbol of Control
  • Symbol of Enhancement
  • Symbol of Pain

All three Symbols can be obtained from the Trading Post or randomly by salvaging any rarity sigil.

Mystic Clovers

Mystic Clovers are pretty hard to come by, and they can be a time investment if you don’t know where to find them efficiently. You can get them from PvP and WvW Reward Tracks, Wizard’s Vault, and so many more places.

Check out our other guide to find the most efficient ways to get Mystic Clovers.

Globs of Ectoplasm

Globs of Ectoplasm can be purchased from the Trading Post, or obtained by salvaging both rare and Exotic gear.

Obsidian Shards

  • Purchased for or converted from various currencies
  • Acquired from PvP Reward Tracks and WvW Reward Tracks

Check the wiki for more information on how to get Obsidian Shards.

Gift of Craftsmanship

You can buy a Gift of Craftsmanship from Faction Provisioners which are located in most major cities. One of these gifts will cost you 50 Provisioner Tokens. There are multiple ways in which you can get those tokens, but they are somewhat time-gated.

If you are in Lion’s Arch, then simply head over to the Skritt Trader which is located in Commodore’s Quarter just under the entrance to Gendarran Fields.

Gift of Condensed Might
