Are you looking to unlock your class’s Elite Specialization, or are you going through map completion to unlock those Legendary Weapons? If you answered yes to either one, then you should complete some hero challenges.
In this guide, we will be going over the Hero Point locations in Desert Highlands, and even instructions on how you can get to each one, and which waypoint to take.
GW2 Desert Highlands Hero Points
There are 7 Hero Points in Desert Highlands. Most, if not all of them can be done solo as you won’t be coming across any Champions, and you will only be fighting mere Veterans. If you have decent gear, then these hero points should be easy.
Before we begin, make sure you have the Springer unlocked as some of those hero points are not accessible without it.
1. Glint’s Lair
- Location: Prophet’s Fall
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Makali Outpost Waypoint [&BGsKAAA=]
- Instructions: From the waypoint, exit the camp and go right till you find a firey gate. If it is not open, then you can use your Springer to jump over. From there, keep going straight trying to avoid all the Branded, and climb your way up to the Place of Power. Defeat the Veteran Branded Spark and then interact with the Place of Power to obtain the Hero Point.
2. Veteran Yandra Stonetusk
- Location: Auburn Hills
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Lommuld Kraal Waypoint [&BGoKAAA=]
- Instructions: Take the Lommuld Kraal Waypoint and simply walk to the Hero Point. You just have to speak with Veteran Yandra Stonetusk and defeat her to get the Hero Point.
3. Glowing Campfire
- Location: Lifeblood Ravine
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Lommuld Kraal Waypoint [&BGoKAAA=]
- Instructions: For this Hero Point, you need the Springer. Start from the waypoint and make your way north toward the hero point. You will find a waterfall between two mountains, bring out your Springer and climb the mountain to the left then simply make your way to the Place of Power. Be prepared though as you will have to fight a Veteran Scrub before you can interact with the Place of Power.
4. Branded Crystal
- Location: The Sunderlands
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Lommuld Kraal Waypoint [&BGoKAAA=]
- Instructions: From the waypoint, head toward the hero point until you stumble upon a huge wall. Bring out your Springer and jump over the wall, then simply stay straight till you find a broken tower. Climb that broken tower and interact with the Branded Crystal to bring out the Veteran Erugg the Cleaver. Defeat him to earn this Hero Point.
5. Eternal Fire
- Location: Tomb of the Primeval Kings
- Difficulty: Easy
- Waypoint: Lommuld Kraal Waypoint [&BGoKAAA=]
- Instructions: There are three ways to get this hero point:
- If you are no longer at the Branded Crystal, follow the instructions for Hero Point #4 on this guide to get there, then follow the steps from the second method of this Hero Point.
- If you are still at the Branded Crystal, then you can simply make your way toward the hero point by going all the way to the east of the Branded area and then crossing the cliff using your Raptor. Keep heading up till you find the Place of Power. Interact with it to get the Hero Point.
- If you have a Jackal, then you can take the portal that can be found under the Hero Point, next to the Tomb.
6. Dusty Bones
- Location: Salt Flats
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Makali Outpost Waypoint [&BGsKAAA=]
- Instructions: Exit the outpost and make your way toward the mountain. You can use the Springer to climb up, or simply the Raptor to make your way to the top. Once you are there, interact with the Dusty Bones to summon a Veteran Dust Tornado. Defeat it and you will earn that hero point
7. Veteran Jubua the Wild Fire
- Location: Fortune’s Vale
- Difficulty: Medium
- Waypoint: Derelict Delve Waypoint [&BKQKAAA=]
- Instructions: Head toward the entrance of the temple located south of the waypoint. Keep going deeper into the temple till you come across a broken bridge. Use your Raptor to cross the bridge and make your way toward the chamber of Jubua. Interact and defeat Veteran Jubua the Wild Fire to obtain this hero point.
